Hunting Licences
Hunting in the Canton of Zug is carried out according to a licence system. One tradition of hunting particularly upheld is that with dogs. Basically, the Canton of Zug recognises the hunting licences of all cantons. The issuing of licences for the hunting of deer and small game comes with certain restrictions depending on the hunting regulations as set each year.

You must be at least 20 years old, pass a test and meet other requirements if you want to apply for a licence.

Fishing Permits
Lake fishing using a rod or pole, with a single float or a hook with natural bait, but without a fish bait or minnow, is free of charge. For all other types of fishing, and for all fishing in flowing waters, a permit is required and there is a fee.
