Course Programme

Course Programme at PH Zug

Teacher Education students on primary level can choose from a variety of English or bilingual (English/German) courses in the autumn semester. Our courses place a strong emphasis on practical classroom experience, teaching methodologies, education, and the social sciences. A mandatory course supports incoming students with guided reflection about intercultural experiences. A German language course for beginners can be organised as well. In addition, students can attend a range of specialised modules, depending on their interests. They can also select from a range of additional offers, such as choir or sports. Flexibility and individually-tailored offers are just some of the strengths of PH Zug. Please have a look at the detailed course programme for more information.

German speaking students can choose from regular courses in both semesters. Please check the German website for more information.

Grading system

In accordance with the Ordinance of the Higher Education Council on the Coordination of Teaching at Swiss Universities of November 29, 2019, PH Zug applies the ECTS credit system. One credit point corresponds to 25-30 hours of work. Most regular modules are graded as "pass" or "fail," but visiting students can also receive grades upon request in order to have modules credited. The following grading system is used:

5 C good
